The WPD 2009 Professional Wedding Photo Contest is now open for WPD member and to other professional wedding photographers. One thousand dollars will go the grand winner and other prizes for the top 10 finalist of the competition. The finalist will be revealed to the public for voting and critique with points leaned toward creativity and concepts. More detail on the link below. Gardens and parks have been some of the favorite venues for weddings for quite a time already. Getting wed in a park or a garden probably sends a sense of freshness and cleanliness to the couple. I cannot be really sure. If you are one of these people who want to be wed in a garden--or at least have your wedding shots taken in a garden--then these Somerset County locations might the best ones for you. The Horticulture Department of the Somerset County Park Commission announced that they will be accepting reservations for weddings in some of their gardens.
